Association Officers
Art Gardner, President
Art Gardner is Vice President of Alcal Specialty Contracting (Fremont). In 2013, Mr. Gardner began his third "tour of duty" with the Association. He served on the Association’s Board of Directors from 1988 to 1993 and again from 1997 through 2008. He was elected Secretary-Treasurer of the Association on three occasions (2006-2008). Mr. Gardner has also served on innumerable Negotiating Committees and currently serves as Chair (Management Representative) of the Bay Area Counties Roofing Industry Joint Apprenticeship Training Trust, and Management Representative of the Bay Area Roofers Labor-Management Trust/Committee and East Bay/North Bay Roofers Vacation Trust.
Leo Ibarra, Vice President
Leo Ibarra is Vice President of Operations for Blue’s Roofing Company in Milpitas, CA. Ibarra first won the election to the Associated Roofing Contractors of the Bay Area Counties’ Board of Directors in 2018. Mr. Ibarra serves as a Management Representative on the Local 95 LMT, the Pacific Coast Pension Trust, the Bay Area Roofers Health & Welfare Trust, and Local 95's Area Vacation Trust. Leo also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Western States Roofing Contractors Association. He is a former president of this organization as well, being only one of two Presidents to serve two terms. Lastly, Leo is a graduate of the NRCA Future Executives Institute where he learned to lead and manage.
Steve Reardon, Vice President
Steve Reardon is the President of Enterprise Roofing Service, Inc. (Concord). Mr. Reardon first won the Association’s Board of Directors election in 2017. He succeeded his father, Larry, who served continuously on the Board from 1986 until 2016. Mr. Reardon currently serves as a Management Representative on the ADR Trust, Northern California Roofers LMT, Bay Area Roofers Health & Welfare Trust, and Local 81's HRA Plan In addition, he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Western States Roofing Contractors Association and the Roofing Contractors Association of California. He holds a BA and MBA degrees from Saint Mary's College and is a NRCA Future Executives Institute graduate.
Richard Lawson, Secretary Treasurer
Richard Lawson is Senior Vice President of The Lawson Roofing Company, Inc. (San Francisco), a family-owned company that is celebrating its 110th anniversary in 2017. Mr. Lawson has served continuously on the Association’s Board since 1988 and was elected to four terms as President (1996-1999). He was elected Secretary-Treasurer in 2009. In addition to his many duties and roles with the Bay Area Association, he serves as a Management Representative on the Bay Area Roofers Health & Welfare Trust, the Local 40 Area Vacation Trust, and the Northern California Roofers LMT. Richard Lawson is also very active in the Roofing Contractors Association of California and the National Roofing Contractors Association. He was elected President of RCAC in 1993 and 1994 and currently serves on the organization’s Board of Directors and currently serves on the NRCA Board of Directors.
